My name is Arash Pourebrahimi. I am an Iranian PhD candidate in Political Economics at Leiden University (Netherlands) and research assistant at Syracuse University.
 
I spent the last academic year at Harvard University as a visiting fellow at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (Department of Government) and as a Research Associate at the Harvard Institute for Quantitative Social Science
 
Before that I was a guest fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Studies (NIAS) and held research assistantship and internship positions at Princeton University, Leiden University, the University of Göttingen and the Journal of Common Market Studies (JCMS).
 
My research interests include International Political Economy, Formal and Quantitative Methodology, Collective Decision-Making in Political Institutions and interaction of voters and my current research projects focus on Legislative Decision-Making in the European Union and voting behavior in Iranian elections.
 
I translated the book “In 100 Years: Leading Economists Predict the Future”  edited by Ignacio Palacios-Huerta to Persian and publish columns and articles in Iranian newspapers such as Hamshahri and Haft-e-Sobh.
